Description: Online training with immediate access upon enrollment. Thrombosis occurs when a clot, or thrombus, forms inside a blood vessel where it is not required and obstructs the flow of blood through the vessel. Thromboembolism describes the process that occurs when a piece of a thrombus breaks off.
