US Government Drug Manufacturing Center Awards Biopharma Institute GMP Training Contract

[August 2022] – Biopharma Institute has been awarded a contract to train employees working in the Veterans Administration Cooperative Studies Program Clinical Research Pharmacy Coordinating Center (abbreviated as VACSPCRPCC, CRPCC, or simply “The Center”).

The Clinical Research Pharmacy Coordinating Center, “the Center”, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, supports investigators by managing drug- and device-related activities for worldwide multi-center clinical trials conducted for the VA and other federal organizations. The Center has collaborated in planning and conduct of more than 200 multi-center clinical trials over its decades of history.

The Center’s modern, environmentally monitored facility is registered and inspected by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). The Center’s highly engaged professional and technical staff work together to produce customized clinical trial solutions.

Biopharma Institute was awarded the contract to provide GMP training to the Center’s employees working in its clinical research drug manufacturing facility. Biopharma Institute provides a world-class training experience for students and training managers. “We are honored to have been selected and awarded the contract to provide our learning management services and GMP training programs to the US Department of Veterans Affairs Pharmacy Coordinating Center,” states Terry Carmichael, Managing Director for Biopharma Institute. The Institute delivers engaging regulatory and GxP compliance training which is reliable, easy to access, current on regulations, and effective at transferring knowledge.

In addition to its primary support of the five CSP Coordinating Centers, the Pharmacy Coordinating Center pursues mutually beneficial collaborations and partnerships with other government, university, and industry partners. Past and/or present clinical research collaborations with major federal organizations include:
